Ghosts and Legends of Towneley

A spooky but fun walk, suitable for all the family (except those of a nervous disposition) where you will be able to find out all about the ghosts, boggarts, legends and tales surrounding the Towneley family and the hall in which they lived.
This walk will take you into the woods and gardens surrounding Towneley Hall you will visit Boggart Bridge, Thanet Lee Wood and Foldy’s Cross, see the grey squirrels and other woodland creatures and enjoy the flora and fauna of early spring.
Everyone is welcome however it is recommended that you wear suitable footwear as this walk goes through woodland that can sometimes be difficult underfoot.
Andy Buck works for Burnley Council’s parks department and has led several ghost walks at Towneley.
