Rossendale Valley Saililng Club

Clowbridge Reservoir high on the moors above Burnley is the home of Rossendale Valley Sailing Club, a windsurfing and sailing school for all ages and abilities. The 90 acre lake situated at a height of over 700ft above sea level provides a first class high wind venue. Visitors can use the club house and lounge and a small café is open in the summer months.

As well as several walks in the area there is a permanent orienteering course in the nearby woodlands and a trail orienteering course around the reservoir. Horse riders can also access several short trails around the area and there is adequate room in the car park for horse boxes.

Opening Times: Year round access to the site. Please ring for details of the sailing club.
