Whether you like jazz, blues, classical music or theatrical performances Burnley Mechanics has an excellent reputation for presenting the best of entertainment for all the family - including appearances by some of the best comedians in the country - Dave Gorman, Mark Thomas, Rich Hall and Dave Spikey – who enjoy performing at this innovative venue.
The major event at the Mechanics is the Burnley National Blues Festival held annually over the Easter weekend, it attracts thousands of fanatical blues fans who are able to enjoy blues performances from artists based on both sides of the Atlantic.
Every summer the Burnley Jazz Summer School attracts students from all over the country to the Mechanics to work with some of the finest jazz musicians and teachers in the genre. Vocalists, keyboard players, saxophonists, clarinet players, all are welcome to come along to improve their skills and learn how to improvise and perform jazz.
